My name is Jack McNally and I am a freshman with a primary major in Economics, and I'm also studying History Geology at the University of Nebraska - Omaha. I'm a lifelong Omaha resident and graduated from Creighton Prep in 2022. I chose to pursue a primary degree in Economics, as well as secondary majors in History and Geology. I plan on concentrating on the economics of natural resources during undergrad, specifically how the distribution and types of resources that countries have access to affects the ways in which their economies are structured. I was involved in Speech and Debate and Economics Club in high school, and am currently involved with the Economics club in college as well as volunteering as a coach for my high school Speech and Debate Team. My career goal is to be able to work in policy planning or research on national economies and how they are impacted by their access to resources. I am especially interested in the geography of nations affecting their modes of economic production, and how the organization of national economies can be altered to better mesh with the geography and natural resources of the country to positively impact both the environment, and their economic success. |
